Patatas Bravas

An easy-to prepare version of this classic Spanish tapas dish from Clodagh McKenna

  • Cooking Time: 5 minutes

 

 

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium potato, parboiled and cut into medium-sized chunks
  • 1 pinch sea salt

For the sauce

  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 500ml tomato purée

 

Method

1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan. Add the potato chunks and fry for 5 minutes, until golden brown. Drain the potatoes and sprinkle with sea salt.

2. To make the sauce, add the mustard and Tabasco to the tomato puree mixing well. Spread the sauce over the potatoes. Serve hot.
